Tuesday, 26 April I will be with Microsoft France in Strasbourg

Microsoft
completes Groove Networks acquisition. “Ozzie, the creator
of IBM’s Lotus Notes software, becomes a chief technical officer (CTO)
of Microsoft, reporting to Microsoft Chairman and Chief Software
Architect Bill Gates.” You also might read an interesting Garner
interview of Ray Ozzie.
Without SP1. I had an Issue with
my W2k3 server after SP1 installation, I could not fix it, so I went back
with booting on the installation DVD, choosing to install Windows 2003 than
repair the existing installation, and then finally I had to install the 35
patches. And now it is working again :-).
**Groove Virtual Office added to lineup of Microsoft Office System
products, servers and services
**Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) today
announced it will acquire Groove Networks, a leading provider of collaboration
software for the ‘virtual office’. The deal unites two top technology innovators
that help geographically distributed work groups be as productive as those that
work in a single physical location. Financial terms of the acquisition were not
disclosed.
I started to develop a plugin for Omea Reader, as you can read on
the previous
post.
This plugin lets you select an entry in Omea Reader and send it to
a Groove Discussion tool.
I have used Groove Web Services
Development Kit, and in an 2 hours effort I could have the first release of
the plugin running.
I started to develop an Omea
Reader Plugin using Omea OpenAPI. The OpenAPI is a set of tools,
documentation and sample code which can be used for developing Omea plugins. The
current version of the OpenAPI is available here: Omea-OpenAPI-1.0.3.zip (1
MB). The development is straight forward, I like the API.
My idea is to bring the content that I aggregate in Omea to another tool that
I am using.
I tried and used lots of blog tool as you might read on my blog. But I was
always searching for a light weight publisher tool. Not the big one that also
aggregate, a simple publishing tool. And now I have it, THANKS to Chris
Frazier who developed the awesome PostXING.
I helped him track
down a bug in the ftp client to post the picures you have in your blog. And
now it ROCKS for me !!!
I was using for quite a long time TagScanner but with the new
functionnalities that Sergey
Serkov added. I would say it the killer app for MP3 ID3 tags editing,
renaming…
