I took some time this evening to work a bit on the new version of the publishing tool for Tech Head Brothers.

Tonight goal was to be able to have a first preview of the HTML rendering in offline mode.

I started working on the GUI defining the Ribbon.

Now it was time to work on the mapping of the WordML to my XML Schema.

Today I had the time to go on a bit with the new version of Tech Head Brothers, as you can see on the picture.

Beginning of this week; during the Tech Days 2008 in Paris, I had the great pleasure to discuss with Aurelien Verla and Grégory Renard about Tech Head Brothers authoring and publishing tool.

I just pushed to production the new version of my French portal Tech Head Brothers that uses .NET Framework 3.5.

This new release correct some bugs of the old release and improve some part of the design. For the new functionality you will have to wait for the next release that will include some great new .NET technologies.

My old build script wasn’t working after the migration to this new version and you will find in this post the different adaptation that I had to do.

Tonight I reached a new milestone on my current development for my portal Tech Head Brothers.

You might know, or guessed, from one of my last post; “Tech Head Brothers Silverlight Streaming framework“ that I am working on adding Silverlight Streaming to Tech Head Brothers. I first released a little framework to ease the development against the REST API of Silverlight Streaming. Now I went further on with a first vertical slice of the whole solution.

This is a video demonstrating the offline usage of the Tech Head Brothers authoring tool.

The tool is using now WCF in place of WSE3 and works great with ASP.NET membership and role.

I just updated the source code of my Tech Head Brothers Authoring tool on Codeplex.

Now it uses Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) in place of WSE 3.0 and Word 2007.
